Survival Purpose
Having clean water to stay hydrated during and emergency is critical. We recommend storing potable water on hand in an evacuation or mobile situation can be lifesaving. A 55 gallon water drum is a great way to keep drinkable water on hand. We require roughly 1 gallon per day per person for healthy hydration. A 55 gallon water container can buy you a few days of time in an emergency situation.

Tips and Recommendations
- Store it Full - Be ready for evacuation with full containers. Be sure to cycle the water so it is fresh. You can find the right amount of bleach to add for extended storage.
- Add Bleach - There are online articles that recommend the correct amount of bleach for long term water storage.
- Cycle the Water - Every few months cycle the water. I taste our stored water every few months. It definitely needs cycled to remain 'fresh'.
