Survival Purpose
A reliable light source during and emergency is critical. A hands free headlamp allows you to be extra productive by allowing use of both hands. If the power grid goes down or you're forced to evacuate you'll need to plan to be active in the dark. Daylight survival is hard enough but building a fire, setting up shelter, going to the bathroom at night in the dark can be very complicated.
The Petzl LED headlamp is ultra light weight because it's intended for climbing. It has multiple modes to increase brightness or increase battery life. In the low mode, the batteries can last up to 130 hours on one charge. On high mode, lhe LED bulb is much brighter than traditional bulbs. One TriplePower LED, two SinglePower white LEDs, and two SinglePower red LEDs.
The USB charger makes it compatible with so many charging scenarios. You can even recharge by connecting to a laptop USB port.
This package comes with the following modes:
- High Beam
- Medium Beam
- Low Beam
- Red light (for working with a group without blinding them)
We use our headlamps regularly on outdoor adventures and they work great. The rechargeable functions are such a huge plus.

Tips and Recommendations
