"Thank you so much for the blankets. Shortly after they arrived my furnace stopped functioning. I sandwiched both blankets in-between my Sherpa blankets and topped off my bed with a comforter. All of my four dogs and two cats snuggled under the covers with me. Temp in house hovered around 46 degrees. We slept comfortably thanks to your blankets. God bless! And thanks again!"

Cautions
- While wool blankets can breathe, they resist air flow. Infants, children, and even adults can suffocate if trapped under a wool blanket.
- Wool is a natural fire retardant but a wool blanket is not fire proof. Be careful around open flame.
- Moths may be attracted to natural wool fabric. Store the blanket in the zippered bag.

FAQs
Why do wool blankets smell out of the package?
Wool is dyed for coloring. The odor comes from the dye. When the blankets are packaged for some time without being able to breathe, the odor builds up some.
How do I remove the dye smell from a wool blanket?
Air out the blanket for a few days. The odor will dissipate.
Why are wool blankets sometimes stiff when first removed from the bag?
Most loom-woven products can get stiff when packed tightly for some time. Often blankets are imported from overseas. They are packed tightly into cargo ships for weeks at a time. The fibers stiffen temporarily.
Most of the time, normal use for a day or two will let the fibers relax. To soften the blanket further, hand wash and line-dry the blanket.
Wool Blanket Care and Cleaning
The EPG wool blankets are washable. In fact, they can get softer with each wash.
Like with all loom-woven textiles, we recommend hand-washing, especially for the first washes. We discourage machine washing. However, if necessary they can be machine washed by themselves in cold water on a delicate cycle like you would silk. We recommend using a detergent formulated specifically for wool (i.e. Woolite) for best results. Wool blankets will likely shed during the first wash or two. To maximize the life of your blanket (and to avoid unnecessary shedding), we recommend washing your blanket by hand.
We also recommend avoiding the dryer. Dryers are hard on wool blankets. Line-drying or rack-drying is much gentler.
You may also consider having a wool blanket dry-cleaned.
